GOV RADAR

How GOV RADAR verifies information

Every country, region, tender and conflict item is cross-checked daily. Each item carries a verdict and its sources; unverified items are not published.

Verification policy

  1. 'Confirmed' requires 2+ independent sources saying the same thing, at least one of them tier 1 or 2.
  2. Several outlets copying one wire story count as one source.
  3. Statements by a party to a conflict are labelled 'Party claim' until the other side or a third party confirms.
  4. Amounts separate ceiling from actual obligation; dates separate announcement from effect.
  5. 'Unverified' items are kept off public and member screens and go to operator review.
  6. An automatic cross-check runs daily; changed verdicts and corrections are logged.
  7. Prophecy or fortune-telling content is outside this system and never shown on public or member screens.
